Medical Marijuana Protest Against Oceanside City Council

Protest against Oceanside City Council Patient Eradication Effort / Court Support for North County Collective The Oceanside City Council had ample opportunity to develop reasonable regulations for medical marijuana patients in Oceanside during their two year moratorium on this issue. Instead, the City Council let the moratorium expire, and have launched an all out assault/eradication effort on the existing facilities through lawsuits, injunctions and threats. The City has even gone as far as changing its zoning laws during the moratorium to prevent dispensaries from opening unless they applied for a change in the code which would automatically be denied. Patients

Except, unlike a player who invests in movie theaters or real estate, Mobley is involved with marijuana. No, it’s not illegal. Here’s the story from the Portland

Michigan AG Looks To Dismantle Voter Approved Medical Marijuana Program

By Steve Elliott of Toke of the Town Michigan’s attorney general has been busily trying to dismantle the state’s medical marijuana law ever since it was passed by voters. Attorney General Bill Schuette announced legislative proposals on Wednesday targeting patients he claims are “exploiting” the law. Schuette is not a fan of the law, passed by an overwhelming 63 percent of Michigan voters in 2008. In the sort of political gymnastics also favored by Republican attorneys general in other states (examples: Rob McKenna of Washington state and Tom Horne of Arizona), Schuette claims to be a “states’ rights conservative” —

Since then, other local jurisdictions have followed suit–though the process is never easy. Two years ago, Breckenridge residents voted to eliminate civil and criminal penalties for private possession. When CNBC aired Marijuana USA, guess which state’s thriving MMJ industry was front and center for
