Everyone and their grandma is scrambling to get into the marijuana industry right now, and for good reason. The marijuana industry is growing faster than any other industry in America right now, and there is no end to that growth in site. When someone considers the fact that there are only four legal marijuana states right now (and D.C.) it’s not hard to see that we are just barely scratching the surface. As reform spreads, business opportunities will be close behind. I’ll use this opportunity to encourage all marijuana industry members to support reform, and in a meaningful way. If you don’t, you will never get the support of the marijuana community because after all, if you weren’t there for the struggle, you won’t be there for the reward in the opinions of most marijuana consumers.
Since the very beginning of The Weed Blog, which launched in January of 2010, our main focus has been on activism. We have worked with just about every reform organization and campaign since 2010, and will continue to fight for reform as long as this blog exists. All of the members of The Weed Blog team have been negatively affected by cannabis prohibition, and we will always fight until no one has to experience the injustice of prohibition ever again.
Lately we have been focusing a little bit more attention on the cannabis industry as America, and the globe, begin to transition away from prohibition. The marijuana industry is a very exciting thing to be a part of, and all of the members of The Weed Blog team love working with entrepreneurs and watching them chase their dreams. After all, that’s part of what we are doing here at the blog too. But because the marijuana industry is so exciting and popular, it’s also crowded, and it’s getting more and more crowded everyday.
