Arkansans For Compassionate Care Have Gathered Over 60K Signatures

Arkansas medical marijuanaI received the following uplifting campaign update from Arkansans for Compassionate Care, which is an organization that is trying to legalize medical marijuana in Arkansas:

Last Tuesday at the polls our team of volunteers collected over 4,000 medical cannabis signatures in one day! It was an amazing day of action that helped take our campaign to the next level. Arkansans for Compassionate Care had dozens of volunteers working in cities like Little Rock, Fayetteville, Rogers, El Dorado, Fort Smith, Jonesboro and more!

The next few months are critical to us making the ballot, but we need YOUR help to make that happen. Can you make a donation today to help us keep our momentum going?

2016 is the year that we will pass medical cannabis and finally protect sick and dying patients from arrest and prosecution. Since we now have 61,107 signatures we’re much closer to reaching our goal of more than 100,000. We need 68,000 valid signatures to qualify for the ballot, but since many signatures will be invalidated we need to overshoot our goal. In the next 4 months we’re going to be working hard to collect another 40,000 signatures. We can do this, but we’ll need YOUR help!

Can you donate today?

It takes resources and money to make this happen and that’s why we’re counting on YOU to help us with a contribution today and ask a friend to donate too! Any amount helps! Please share on Facebook too!

And volunteers will be out in force at many events, festivals, parades, etc. to get those signatures. And you can find a petition to sign at many businesses around the state on the ACC website: arcompassion.com

    Gooder than grits so far!

  • Yaaaa, go Arkansas!

This is turning out to be an incredible year for legalizing both medical and adult use.

Have been consuming cannabis for over 40 years and been prosecuted several times during my tenure.

Never thought we would be this far in my lifetime. At this rate I may even see global decriminalization before I pass.

Brings a friggin tear to my eye

It should be a good year but so much is still up in the air. Michigan, Vermont and now Maine for outright semi-legalization and Ohio, Missouri and Arkansas for medical. How wonderful it would be to win in all of those as well as CA, AZ, NV and MA. .
