Big Marijuana Vote In Alaska’s Senate On Monday
The Alaska Senate was scheduled to debate and vote on SB 30 today, along with considering some severely damaging amendments. Instead, they have postponed the vote until Monday. This is great news! There appears to be a disagreement among legislators over some controversial issues, such as Sen. Kelly’s anticipated proposal to undermine protections for marijuana concentrates.
With your help, we have generated thousands of email messages and made significant strides in defending Measure 2 this legislative session. But it’s not over yet.
Opponents will be organizing over the weekend in preparation for Monday’s vote, and we cannot rest either.
We must ensure that every single senator knows that when they cast their vote on SB 30 on Monday, their constituents are watching and counting on them to faithfully implement Measure 2. Please keep making your voices heard! Then, share this message with your friends and family in Alaska so they can help defend legalization in Alaska, too.
