There are no doubt a lot of people suffering from various ailments in Boston, Massachusetts. Those that are medical marijuana patients have had to go without safe access to medical marijuana for a long time now. Boston, like most parts of Massachusetts, does not have a medical marijuana dispensary for patients to visit. That will change soon, as the first medical marijuana dispensary in Boston has been approved. Per Marijuana Business Daily:

A company that holds medical cannabis business licenses in several states received a tentative green light from zoning board officials to open the first dispensary in Boston despite resistance from locals.

Patriot Care Corp. initially had trouble getting officials to sign off on the dispensary after members of a downtown business group voted tooppose the dispensary, calling it a “step in the wrong direction” for the neighborhood.

The company was awarded a license last week to grow, process and sell medical marijuana in New York under the name Columbia Care. It also runs dispensaries in Arizona, has a license to open a storefront in Illinois, and has a presence in Washington DC and Nevada, according to its website.

Massachusetts’ first dispensary, Alternative Therapies Group, opened in Salem in June, kicking off an MMJ industry that could eventually generate tens of millions of dollars in annual sales.

I’m curious to see what the dispensary carries, and how much they charge. It seems like there is a trend of large companies winning medical marijuana business licenses, overestimating their profit potential, and then price gouge patients into the ground in order to try to recoup their losses. I really hope that’s not the case in Boston. If so, patients will be forced to either purchase more affordable meds on the black market, or go without medicine altogether. Both situations are undesirable.

We have had one is Salem for a couple months. The problem is they only offered 2 strains white rhino and Mr happy or something like that. Now they ran out and are no longer taking appointments. In good health just started taking pre appointments this week. They should be open by the end of the month. They have a good stock to a huge grow that has been documented on Instagram and other news articles. Its very impressive.
