U.S. Representative Earl Blumenauer has been representing my home state, Oregon, in Congress since 1996. He has been one of my heroes for a long time, and one of my favorite memories since co-founding this blog in 2010 is meeting him this last year at an NCIA event. Earl Blumenauer gave a speech at the International Drug Policy Reform Conference in Washington DC in November, discussing how to move forward on marijuana reform. Earl Blumenauer has led the charge in Congress, and any time I get to hear him speak it’s a treat. Enjoy:

I hope 2016 is a landslide year that sees reform moved even further into the light.

God bless US Rep. Earl Blumenauer! If only the rest of the US Senate and House would have the same mind set as Earl. It makes a grown man cry to see the ridiculous hypocrisy of the anti cannabis crowd. Please let them see past the propaganda from the past 78 years, make 2016 the “Year of the Weed”, and good sense.
