That dream was somewhat realized when High Times started holding medical Cannabis Cups in California and Colorado. Now it looks like the full dream is being realized, because High Times is holding the first recreational Cannabis Cup in America, on 4/20 no less! Below are details for the event:

The first-ever HIGH TIMES US Cannabis Cup is coming to Denver! The two-day cannabis expo will feature cultivation seminars and activism sessions with HIGH TIMES editors, leaders of the marijuana movement, and major cannabis celebrities.

Saturday, April 20th
12 p.m. – Cannabis Cup doors open at Exdo
6:30 p.m. – Cannabis Cup expo closes
8 p.m. – Cypress Hill goes on at Red Rocks

Sunday, April 21st
12 p.m. – Cannabis Cup doors open at EXDO
7 p.m. – Cannabis Cup Awards Show begins

FAQs

Can I smoke at the event?

Yes! There will be an outdoor medicating area for Colorado residents who are also Colorado medical marijuana patients and there will also be a separate outdoor smoking area for all adults 21+, in accordance with Colorado’s new law legalizing marijuana.

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

You must be at least 18 years of age to attend and 21 to drink and smoke recreationally. All attendees and vendors will need identification as it will be checked at the door.

What can/can’t I bring to the event?

No weapons or alcohol may be brought to the venue.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?

Yes, if you cannot attend, you may give or sell your ticket to someone else simply by forwarding them your ticket confirmation email.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

You do not have to bring your printed ticket, but it will help expedite the check-in process.

What is the refund policy?

Tickets are non-refundable, but they are transferable so you may give or sell your ticket to someone else.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn’t match the attendee. Is that okay?

Yes.
