Lemon Skunk was created through careful selection of two skunk plants that were specifically chosen for their lemon characteristics. The mother was special and kept for 20 years in Las Vegas, Nevada, while the father was selected in Holland and was originally a donation from Eddie. Eddie was the owner of one of the oldest and most recognized and prestigious marijuana seed banks in the Netherlands for several years.

Lemon Skunk is a hybrid between Indica and Sativa, but has just a tad bit more Sativa in her. She grows talls, but has a high calyx-to-leaf ratio so she is quite easy to trim. She grows best as a multi-branch plant due to her bushy tendencies. Lemon Skunk can take much of the nutrients and feedings you can give her. She also does well outdoors due to her heat tolerance and will form light green leaves and buds. The buds get an extra coloring of beautiful orange hairs as well. When reaching her finish, she is covered with crystally resin and takes around 8 to 9 weeks to finish. The best time to harvest, though, is between 50 and 56 days.

Lemon Skunk is a sweet tasting bud, that reminds you of what else? A lemon. It is perfect for those who like sweeter buds and has hints of citrus in the smell right down to the smoke. The high leans more to the Sativa side, boosting your senses, but the Indica side of the high will have you raiding the fridge. Lemon Skunk has won multiple awards for its great qualities. Lemon Skunk won 1st place in the Indoor Hydro category at Spannabis in 2008, 1st place in the Outdoor category at the Highlife cup 2007, 2nd place at the IC420 Breeders Cup 2008 and was the winner of High Times Top 10 Strains of the Year for 2009.

Lemon Skunk X OG #18 strain review by Culture Magazine
Lemon Skunk X OG #18

Mmmm, yummy at first smell–who doesn’t enjoy the heavenly scent of lemon? This fantastic strain has all the elements of a delicious smoke: color, aroma and taste. Smells so good you might end up asking yourself, “Should I taste or should I smoke?” Powder sugar-like buds, (16.65 percent THC) and loaded with glittery trichomes, this beauty delivers a great taste and a fantastic smoke. These tightly-packed buds seem to have it all. Lemon Skunk x OG #18 gives a hit that affects both head and body. An in-house hybrid of 50 percent indica and 50 percent sativa, this strain is available at Revelations Patient Group in Mira Loma. This 50/50 balance also seems to boost spirits and help with bouts of depression. This strain can also be used for the treatment of chronic pain, insomnia and muscle spasms. Consider this a house strain with an amazing connoisseur quality.
