Majority Of Arizonans Favor Legalizing Marijuana

Most Arizonans support permitting adults to legally possess marijuana for personal consumption, according to statewide polling data commissioned by the Behavioral Research Center.

Fifty-three percent of respondents favor legalizing the possession of small amounts of marijuana for personal use. That is an increase of two percent compared to when pollsters asked a similar question last year.

Only 39 percent of respondents disapproved of the notion of legalizing cannabis.

Legalization supporters were more likely to be under the age of 35 (71 percent) and to vote Democrat (64 percent). Respondents age 55 or older (45 percent) and Republicans (33 percent) were least likely to support legalizing the plant for adult use.

Arizona is one of several states where voters will likely decide whether or not to legalize and regulate the use, production, and retail sale of the plant in 2016.

The Tea Parties go on and on about freedom, but it’s only their own freedom they care about, they either outright oppose or condone trashing the freedom of cannabis users. Go have another drink of America’s killer drug you despicable flaming hypocrites.

As an Arizonan, it astounds me how the AZ GOP has already come out in opposition to our legalization initiative in 2016. With opposition at 39%. That’s not even a Majority of their own party! People in AZ, both Liberal AND Conservative are tired of the Failed War on Drugs! There’s an ELITE few in the State GOP party, that write the party’s platform in AZ. They USED to be in step with Arizonans, for the most part, when they were NUTS. But they’ve gone PAST that to TOTALLY NUTS!

Governor Douchey proposed another $75 MILLION in his 2015 budget to build ANOTHER Private Prison. Luckily the Legislature cut that down to a mere $50 MILLION, but STILL ended up adding 2500 new beds in AZ.

We’re 48th in the nation in Education, and we’re spending MORE to incarcerate these kids than we are on EDUCATING them. This State was found in Court to have underfunded the schools over a period of years in which was in violation of an Initiative for Educating our kids that voters passed. The Court ruled that the State owes our School system in AZ, $1.6 BILLION. They’ve yet to pay a DIME of that judgement against them. There’s NOTHING in his budget to pay that judgement a DIME, but $50 MILLION on more “Private Slave Institutions” disguised as “Correction Facilities”. We should spend more on EDUCATING our kids so they WON’T end up in prison.

You would think that this would be a higher number. I guess California’s people think it’s ok for police to raid a cannabis club eat the edibles and brag about kicking a female amputee in her leg stump. Oh and the warrant was signed by a judge who is against Marijuan but has been known for consuming alcohol on the job. Come on I hope those cops get fired and charged.
