Medical Marijuana To Manage Autism In Children

When it comes to children using medical cannabis, the media and conservatives come out in a huge panic. For some reason they don’t understand that there are more ways to consume cannabis than smoking it. Below is an example of a parent using cannabis to treat symptoms of autism. What do TWB readers think? Is this a bad thing, good thing, or are you indifferent?

    The point that stands out most to me about this is that there are so many areas that still require more open research. It sounded to me like the mother was taking a very cautious approach, not willing to give too much and in a relatively safe manner in the form of an edible confection. I wish them the best of luck and hope that the results exceed all expectation.

    As a mother of a teen with a mild case of autism but just in general saying, Yes! It’s a natural plant and only carcinogenic if Smoken. It’s about time. All the Good, True, more importantly Working medicines are of Plant origin, Nature, nature Nature! It’s a hell of a lot better than Any Man-made sedative. I do not myself consume marijuana, but hey, put that it in an electronic cigarette, think the world would be a much happier place! #Iwouldtryit

    I am a nonsmoker who doesn’t like anything about the way i feel high. That being said, if smoking or eating it helped one of my children i would not only approve of it, i would encourage it. Nothing else is working and they have just as much right to a good life as the rest of us. Good for the moms who have the courage to do what they think is right by their kids and good for the rest of you who smoke just because you like it.
