ron wyden marijuana oregonLast year the Oregon cannabis community held a fundraiser for United States Representative Earl Blumenauer which raised over $160,000. That’s more than the national cannabis community raised at a national industry event for Presidential candidate Rand Paul. It’s just one of many examples of how awesome the Oregon cannabis community can be. The Oregon cannabis community is back at it again, this time in the form of a fundraiser for Oregon Senator Ron Wyden.

Ron Wyden has not always been a strong supporter of marijuana reform, but he has fought a lot for it in recent years, and deserves the cannabis community’s support. The event is being organized by Amy Margolis, along with a handful of Oregon cannabis companies. Amy wears many hats, and while I have never met her before, I am a fan of all of her advocacy work. Below is more about the event, via the event’s Eventbrite page. I would love to see a large turnout for this event:

Please join Chalice, Ruby Farms, Cultivated Industries, Groundworks and the cannabis community as they host a fundraiser for Senator Ron Wyden.

There are a number of levels of participation:

$2000.00 donation- entry for four into the VIP event starting at 5:30pm and then please join us for the hosted cocktail party event after.

$100.00 minimum donation- please join us for a two hour hosted cocktail party with Senator Wyden.

Please send an email if you would like to make a donation at a different level.

Your RSVP here is simply a way for us to track who will be joining us and provide additional information. There will be wonderful music, food and drinks as we support Senator Wyden and hear about Federal progress on serious issues like access to banking and tax reform.

Please email any questions to amy@emergelawgroup.com

WHEN – Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM (PST)

WHERE – Will be emailed to participants Portland, Oregon 97204

  1.

The cannabis community at large in Oregon is actuallt neglected when it comes to fundraising for these politicians. The fundraising is done by large cannabis businesses who are seeking to secure their interests during the implementation proceedings.

The omma/ommp program is being systematically dissolved, the pacs are not considering the long term effects on the medical community.

Ron wyden voted to suspend your second amendment rights in favor of the united nations. Any politician that votes against our constitutional rights should not be supported.
