canada marijuana

The 2015 Election in Canada was a very big victory for marijuana reform. No, marijuana reform itself was not on the ballot, but when Justin Trudeau was elected it dramatically increased the chances that Canada will legalize marijuana sooner than later. After all, Trudeau included marijuana legalization as part of his campaign platform, and said after he was elected that he would push for marijuana legalization straight out the gate. As if electing a pro-marijuana candidate wasn’t enough to show how popular marijuana reform is in Canada, a poll was recently released which found overwhelming support for marijuana legalization. Per Forum Research:

In a random sampling of public opinion taken by the Forum Poll™ among 1256 Canadian voters, the majority, close to 6-in-10, approve of the Liberal government’s promise to legalize, tax and regulate marijuana (59%), and this is an increase over the proportion who said they agreed marijuana should be legal in mid-August of this year (August 20 – 53%).

The government’s policy promise is especially popular with the youngest (67%), the wealthiest (66%), in Atlantic Canada (75%) and BC (68%), among Liberals (70%) and New Democrats (65%) but not so much among Conservatives (28%).

The same poll found that roughly 20% of Canadians have consumed marijuana in the last year. All eyes in the marijuana community are tightly locked on Canada right now, waiting to see what the next move is. I remember back before ‘Operation Frozen Timber,’ there was Canadian marijuana all over the West Coast. It was super high quality, and I can’t wait until Canada legalizes so that I can travel there and smoke some BC bud like I did so many times back in the day.

“They cannot stop the use of alcohol, nor even appreciably diminish it, but they can badger and annoy everyone who seeks to use it decently, and they can fill the jails with men taken for purely artificial offences, and they can get satisfaction thereby for the Puritan yearning to browbeat and injure, to torture and terrorize, to punish and humiliate all who show any sign of being happy. And all this they can do with a safe line of policemen and judges in front of them; always they can do it without personal risk.”

—an extract from “Notes on Democracy” by Henry Louis Mencken, written in 1926, during alcohol prohibition, 1919-1933

The problem with some conservatives all over is that they love to tell people just what to do. As I see it some drink alcohol alot and this is ok, some smoke tobacco and this us ok, some even do other drugs and in there eyes this is ok. So why can’t we have legalized Marijuana? Free from any penalties? Tobacco will kill you, it makes it so you can’t breathe and you can’t smell. ( I used to smoke cigarette )( when I was young and stupid )So all I want is to enjoy a plant that is safer to use than tobacco, less dangerous than alcohol. And absolutely with years of proof medication for millions of people of all ages for multiple types of illnesses that they can use with out any harmful side affects. I just saw this Comercial last night it was for menopausal women (this is something my wife is going through )this cream is for dryness side effects include bleeding ,cancer and dementia. WTF. this is ok. I told my wife no she is not using it. As soon as Marijuana is legal she is going to try Marijuana and see if this will help with some symptoms of menopause and not necessarily dryness.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise to learn that there are endogenous cannabinoid receptors in the vagina. While I can’t explain why, there hasn’t been that much attention given to the subject. But there is a company selling a phytocannabinoid infused product advertised as as a lubricant to increase sexual pleasure for women called Foria. That’s the sum total of my knowledge of the product. I don’t know if it works, if the price is fair, if you could make it at home or anything else. But you might like to do some investigation. Again, the sole purpose of this post is to tell you that it exists. It’s easy enough to find if you google the product’s name.

      •

Yes, I first heard of this as well a yr. or so ago… Well, cannabinoid activity does enhance sex amongst so many other things in the body, so I don’t think this is much of a surprise for people “in the know.”

For the others out there… that’s a different story.

      •

Hey thanks for the information, so I did some research and found information on foria. Simply put expensive and not worth it since I found from multiple sources that ask for no money just passing knowledge. Simply put adding cannabis oil to coconut oil has promise and my wife assured me that she did not hurt and found I was quite pleasurable. I used extra virgin olive oil (first press ) and cannabis oil warmed and combine together you don’t need alot of either applied to hybrid wife through finger massage that she found nice and then on my self.
Anyhow coconut oil is safe on vaginal walls ad well as cannabis oil .

I grew up in a conservative Christian setting. I still have some of these people telling me using cannabis will result in standing before the alter of God in judgement. Sigh…

I’m done with that BS. Running in the opposite direction.

Cannabis heals. I’ve experienced this myself.

Plant flowers for all! Unite… Legalize!

  5.

I have a really simple test for whether or not a drug is dangerous.like there trying to do with MARIJUANA !

How hard will users work to get it legalized?

How much money will they spend.

How many lies and exaggerations will they tell.

How much rhetoric will they use, how hard will they work to indoctrinate other users.

How willing are they to be dishonest with THEMSELVES.

If a drug drives millions of people to lie, exaggerate, con, beg, and addict their friends….Every day on Facebook I see people willing to share absolutely absurd “facts” about marijuana. Anyone with half a brain can figure out that at the very least it’s an exaggeration, and more likely a flat out lie.

And no one, to my knowledge has ever lied, exaggerated, mislead people to get Broccoli !

You have to realize that misinformation can happen at any level, and its not just under the topic of marijuana. The agenda that was pushed via reefer madness what a deceit on a gargantuan scale compared to a few that are smoked up and don’t know what they are talking about. After all a business was made out of he Drug war in disguise as a benefit for all man kind.

I’ve talked to this douche from the backwards state of Missouri before. He runs a billboard company and brags openly about campaigning against medical marijuana for sick people … Just informing you. Total POS.

        •

I am not against medical just recreational , If it has medical properties like everybody says , why do we have marijuana dispensaries it needs to in the hands of doctors , pharmacies , hospitals only , because I do believe it does help some small children about 20-30% with seizures from the videos and from what I read from parents with children that are having seizures . And let’s all remember Columbia’s Mo. first police officer were I live was killed by a man high on marijuana, so was American sniper he was also killed by a man high on marijuana! “.

Marijuana and Mental Health: A number of studies have shown an association between chronic marijuana use and increased rates of anxiety, depression, and schizophrenia with age at first use to be an important risk factor. High doses of marijuana can produce an acute psychotic reaction. And when your experiment with marijuana doesn’t work out why should taxpayers have pay for your medical expenses the rest of your life !

    •

No, here’s a simple test for how dangerous a drug or herb is. How many people does it kill or maim, with special emphasis on innocent victims.
If you’re not calling for a ban on alcohol and tobacco, don’t be a full tilt hypocrite and don’t waste your precious time trying to maintain the obscene ban on cannabis. And think on the meaning of the hallowed phrase “liberty and justice for all”.

      •

This guys a total POS. Brags about campaigning against medical cannabis with his billboard company in Missouri (heaven forbid, so glad I don’t live there). He’s very enlightening to talk to…. if you like banging your head against a brick wall… have fun.

        Cannabis cures.

It was about to pass in my city , I went on a campaign and changed the one city councilman costing her a recount but her vote stopped it , so I am doing some good or at least riding the brakes ! And it’s not looking good for you in Missouri ! Ha aha ah ha ha h

And since you’re so into putting others down, the first sentence of your post is a grammatical and logical mess.

      •

        Speaking of Delusional
It is always funny to me when an article that posts something negativewhen about Marijuana–even ones from research from top Universities–that you STILL will have people dismiss it.
They will think of EVERYTHING—and make up something that they think in their mind dismisses facts. It is truly unbelievable.
Because when you attack there habit your attacking them ! Watch the posting attack me for speaking up ! ( just look at his grammar ) First they ask for where you get your research info. So they can TRY to dismiss it , then attack me some more , WE all know putting any carcinogen in your body is bad ( YES THERE CARCINOGEN IN MARIJUANA! ) no I don’t need to prove anything . Anyone who thinks putting any kind of CARCINOGEN in there body will be helpful to there health would never change there mind ! Now let the attack begin ! But for your information I don’t read or responded back because your a pot head , and you and your kind only attack my posting because your HOOKED ON YOUR DRUG ! And you feel the need to justify your habit or to join in with other DRUGIES to be part of some kind of movement

Hey asshole. Cannabis is about to be legalized in my country. The Liberal party had it on the ballot and an OVERWHELMING majority voted for them. Guess what…. your backwards looking state is coming soon whether you like it or not. Enjoy and go f*ck yourself.

    •

Sorry Macintosh but the argument is not valid. No doubt there have been lies lol. The fact that an overwhelming percentage of people in Canada have finally said let them have their “Broccoli” does not lead one to the obvious conclusion that the broccoli must be bad. I majored in history and if one asked me today – what has been the most controlling, dangerous, and misrepresented thing that you could name ? my answer hands down would be religion. I grew up around many conservatives and they where all about repenting every weekend while telling everyone else how all the simple pleasures (like responsible drinking in your home) where promoted by satin

People need to become aware that it’s not a smart idea to “drink every day” or what Nate Dogg would say, ” Smoke weed everyday”.
Humans are vulnerable to subconsciously take advice from someone or something they admire; even if it is a song that is only meant for entertainment and not suppose to be a legit source of advice. Influences are everywhere and even more so in cities and public schools.

  7.

I also meant to say that influences are the gateway to everything and anything, and there is no such thing as a gateway drug.
