For all of those who thought that our President’s current position regarding medical marijuana, within the different states that allow for it, was just an attempt to pander to the middle ground in order to capture the elusive electorate for his upcoming Presidential vote… you may have been sadly mistaken.

While the current U.S. Public opinion supports the use of medical marijuana over that of Federal marijuana prohibition. The federal government has been dumping millions of dollars into raiding and imprisoning state legal, marijuana collective owners and patients.

Meet Laura E, Duffy, the San Diego US attorney for the Southern District of Los Angeles. As San Diego County currently has somewhere in the neighborhood of approximately 500 + medical marijuana collectives… Ms. Duffy believes that these medical marijuana collectives are complete “Sham.”

“I’m not just seeing print advertising,” Duffy said in an interview with California Watch and KQED. “I’m actually hearing radio and seeing TV advertising. It’s gone mainstream. Not only is it inappropriate — one has to wonder what kind of message we’re sending to our children — it’s against the law.” [Source]

As these two opposing ideology’s lock horns for a battle to the death it has become glaringly clear that the current administration view, is that there is no validity for medical marijuana. That cancer patients, or AIDS patients who inspired Californians to pass medical marijuana law in the first place are really just stoners looking to smoke weed daily.
