Scholarships Are Available For The 2015 International Drug Policy Reform Conference

international drug policy reform conferenceI have never attended the International Drug Policy Reform Conference, but from what I’ve read about it online, it’s a very solid opportunity to learn more about reform efforts and how to get involved. The conference costs money, but scholarships are available. Below is more information via the event’s webpage:

The Reform Conference is pleased to offer scholarship assistance to allow a diverse group of people to attend the 2015 International Drug Policy Reform Conference in the Washington, D.C. metro area. We always receive many more requests than we can accommodate, so please continue your search for alternate funding.

Please note that these scholarships are not intended to cover the full cost of attending the conference and successful applicants will be expected to make a contribution to their own expenses. In order to eligible for consideration for a scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

In order to receive a scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:

  • Live in the United States
  • Be in need of financial assistance to attend.
  • Are in a position to clearly benefit from going to the conference, with a solid potential to take home new knowledge, skills and contacts that will benefit their local work.
  • Are able to cover at least part of their costs.

NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS

The application deadline has been extended! It will now close on Tuesday, June 30th, 2015.
Please note that this year, the application fee has been lowered to $20 (from $50) and it is now non-refundable.
If you are awarded scholarship support, your application fee will be applied to your registration cost.
If you are not awarded scholarship support and are still able to attend the conference, your application fee will be applied to your registration cost.
