southeast iowa hemp education expo 2013Hemp is making a comeback in a major way, with hemp reform being introduced across the nation at the state and federal level. Farmers are hurting, and need a new crop to help keep their way of life going. Fossil fuels are polluting our planet, and we need a renewable energy source. Hemp not only can provide a good crop for farmers, it can also provide renewable energy, and can be used to make countless products. Below is information about an event in Iowa that seeks to educate people on the amazing plant that is hemp:

We, the People, ARE coming!

NOTE: This is a Family Friendly event, behave yourselves!! This event is to EDUCATE people about the values of Hemp and Cannibis as an industry, for medicinal purposes, food, contruction material, paper, fuel and many more uses that our government has been hiding for so many years. This is NOT about “lets all get together and get stoned in the park”…. We will have entertainment, vendors, food etc. camping is available. There will be security on the grounds and NO illegal activity will be tolerated. No alcohol will be sold at the event! No alcoholic liquors will be consumed in the shelter(Park Rules). The park does allow beer and we just ask you to consume in moderation. Thank you and we hope to see you all there!
