alzheimers marijuanaIt always upsets me when marijuana opponents act like marijuana is not medicine. There are so many studies that show that marijuana can help treat numerous ailments that anyone who says marijuana is not medicine should be required by law to shut up. Marijuana is medicine, and that’s a fact. Yet another study has been released showing that marijuana can help those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease. Per HNGN:

Marijuana can possibly be a treatment for Alzheimer’s disease, say neuroscientists at the University of South Florida.

Researchers found that delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), a compound found in marijuana can slow down the progress of Alzheimer’s disease.

According to their findings, THC can lessen the production of amyloid beta, a protein found in a soluble form in most aging brains. Furthermore, it can also stop abnormal accumulation of amyloid beta. Researchers said this is important because the buildup of amyloid beta is believed to be one of the pathological hallmarks of early neurodegenerative disease.

Apart from this, researchers also found that low levels of the marijuana compound improve mitochondrial function which in turn improves energy supply energy, transmits signals and in general improves brain health.

If you know someone that suffers from Alzheimer’s disease, you should look more into this. If you try it and it doesn’t seem to help, then so be it. But if you have tried everything and it doesn’t seem to help, then consider giving marijuana a try for yourself or your loved ones. There are numerous studies that corroborate the findings of this particular study.

Marijuana seems to be the only medicine that keeps the endorphins working! No side affects.

Many of the current Alzheimer “medications” only work for about a year then they stop eating food, get more confused, and die. Unfortunately most of that population suffers from reefer madness hysteria that has already been studied to bias results of cannabis efficacy in some. Though, when they realize eating food allows you to live longer and avoid further mental decline, the tide will change fast.

They used to say smoking pot burned your brain cells, look now it saves your brain cells. Just think all our Goverment has to do is say they was wrong and reclassify marijuana as having medical value. That’s it. How hard is that. We all now that the out dated anti marijauna propaganda is crap. Just admit it

I treated my wife Alzheimer’s/Lewy Body dementia with canna-butter. It stopped her Parkinson’s tremors and stopped her screaming in agony. It was a god-send miracle. In the last 6 months of her life, cannabis brought her relief from this insidious disease. There are many benefits to Alzheimer’s patients and their caregivers from the use of cannabis.

I’m sorry you had to deal with that.

I’m sorry about your wife. My mom has Lewy Body and is 84, just watching her sometimes feels awful as she appears tortured by the constant tremors. Could you please let me know what type of cannabis you used that was effective? I’ve tried CBD/THC cannabis but it often seems to make it worse. Should I only use indica strains? Please help if you can.

So what would be the best way to get this in your system? Other than smoking?
