By Betty Aldworth, Campaign To Regulate Marijuana Like Alcohol

It is a beautiful day for making marijuana legal!

As we have been saying for weeks, the election to pass Amendment 64 is going to be extremely close. Whether marijuana prohibition ends or continues in Colorado could turn on just a few thousand votes! And the polling we have seen so far tells us that there are more than 100,000 voters over the age of 50 who are undecided on the initiative.

We are counting on you to turn these undecided voters into Yes voters. If you have parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles or older neighbors in Colorado, now is the time to explain to them why you support Amendment 64. Many older (and younger) voters receive their ballots in the mail this week. If you do not encourage them to vote Yes today, you may lose the opportunity to do so.

It doesn’t matter exactly what you say when you call or speak to them. Everyone has their own reason for supporting the initiative. The important thing is that you ask them to vote Yes. Your words will stick with them when they make a decision on Amendment 64 in the coming days or weeks.

If you prefer to send a message, we have a page set up with a pre-written email that you can send as is or personalize for your friends of relatives. In just two minutes, you can do your part to make history in Colorado.

Together, we will win this election. Thanks for your involvement!

  1. This is a really simple campaign which will capture the imagination. My only problem is that if you treat cannabis like alcohol (which has no medicinal application) it may miss out on the huge sympathy that people have for those who need cannabis for pain relief. But once passed (we all hope an prey this will happen) there would be not obstacle to medical use.

    Good luck
