Charlo Greene made international headlines when she quit her job as a news reporter in Alaska on air in the middle of a story about marijuana. It then became known that she was involved in the marijuana industry, and is a staunch marijuana reform supporter. If you are in the area, you can meet Charlo Greene tomorrow at the ‘Buds and Brunch’ event put on by DFW NORML. Below are more details about the event, via the event’s Facebook event page:

DFW NORML is excited to announce a new speaker series entitled Buds and Brunch, where notable marijuana activists from around the country will come and speak to our group!

Join us at the House Sports Bar & Grill on Sunday 5/31 from 11am – 2pm for our debut event with Charlo Greene! She’ll be giving a talk especially for DFW NORML members and their families. The cost is $20 per person at the door for a delicious breakfast buffet which also includes a meet-and-greet with Ms. Greene AND a chance to snap a photo with her!

Charlo Greene is a businesswoman and former reporter/anchor for KTVA in Anchorage, Alaska. Greene received media notice after she quit her job on-air while covering a story on the Alaska Cannabis Club, a medical marijuana organization in Alaska.
