Washington State’s Legislature has passed a bill - House Bill 2304 - to legalize the sale of cannabis concentrates such as hash and hash oil at state-licensed cannabis shops.

The measure was approved yesterday with a 42 to 7 vote in the Senate, shortly after being approved by the House 91 to 7.

In addition to allowing the production, distribution and use of cannabis concentrates for recreational use (possession of up to 7 grams would be allowed),House Bill 2304 would also alter the state’s legal cannabis law to allow cannabis processors to sell to other processors; for example, a processor who specializes in making cannabis extracts could provide those to a baker who could use it to make cannabis-infused food products.

The proposal now goes to Governor Jay Inslee for consideration.

I just wanted to point out that the summary says that retailers can only sell 7 grams at a time. However possession is 16oz of solid concentrate and 72 of liquid cons. I’m wondering what the viscosity threshold will be and how products over 60% will be treated.
