Volcano VaporizerCooking With Vaporized Marijuana

What’s good Greenies and welcome to another insightful Hail Mary Jane Wisdom Wednesday from me, ThisBuds4You. A few days ago I posted this picture on our Facebook page…70 grams of AVB (already vaped bud) and 1 pound of butter cooking away in a pot. Several Greenies commented and said, “There’s no THC in that bud” to which I just had to laugh…laugh in shock! Greenies, don’t you dare throw your AVB away; you are literally killing yourselves if you do. Vaped bud is PERFECT, and I mean PERFECT for cooking with. The process of decarboxylation or activating your weed is already done with vaped bud. Be sure to lightly vaporize your herbs until “toasted”, black vaped bud is no good. Staying between 350-375 degrees F is ideal, this way a lot of the cannabinoids are left in tact. When the vaporizer heats the weed this process decarboxylizes the cannabis converting the inactive THC-A and CBD-A into the psychoactive THC and CBD…ya know, the stuff that gets us high as kites. Using AVB is a very effective and efficient way to make edibles because we can extract the left over cannabinoids and bind them to some dank ass butter. As you can see in the diagram below when heat is introduced the carboxyl group -A (COOH) is removed, turning THC-A into THC. We’ve got activated weed! I’ve given you the knowledge, the challenge is up to you. Make some dank ass butter with your AVB. Send us some pictures, I’ll send you some stickers. Hit me up at ThisBuds4You@HailMaryJane.com. Check out my AVB cannabutter post here!

i always make edibles with vaped weed. No one ever believes it but i just laugh, and it saves money. almost like free edibles.

This looks like just another reason for me to get a vape. I love making edibles when I stay in Holland for an extended period of time. I buy this special deal for indoor grown Thai at 2 euros a gram and make elaborate cheesecakes. If you’re telling me I can vape get high and then cook with the vaped bud and get high you’ve pretty much made my day so thanks.

vales are the best, they’re better for you (health wise), you need less weed and get just as high, a bit expensive but for sure worth the money! i would suggest the volcano

So, I CAN throw away my AVB after all…. I vape till it’s really dark, around 419 in my V-Tower. I used to make edibles but you cannot titrate the amount of THC when you eat the tree. Nothing beats the vape when it comes to consumption. In my opinion, vape it up!

In reality you’re pretty much burning your weed at that temp. Smoke-like toxins start to get released in large amounts at 390F/around 200C. They get to serious amounts after 400F. You’re smokin’ through your vaporizer. To avoid these I start at 179 then slowly go up to 190-199 at the most. Clean vapor > Dirty vapor :)

AVB! :D There’s a term I been looking for… ‘what to call the ganja that’s used up after vaping it.’ Yeah vaporizers are epic for guys like me with athsma but wanna use weed. Mine’s a Vapor Daddy ‘box style’. One day I’ll try combining AVB with butter. :) but I’d need instructions.. I’m sure I’ll find some. Cheers!
