About Author

We’re everything you need to know about marijuana – your #1 source of important marijuana-related information. From the plant and its benefits to its place in culture and society, TWB has you covered! News. Culture. Science. Cooking. Growing. Industry. Advocacy. You can find this and so much more.

  1. Very good point. I reconcile this by remembering that marijuana is great for medicine and a very safe recreational hobby also. I am a strong supporter of medical marijuana but I myself am not a registered medical marijuana patient even tho my state (Oregon) has a medical program and I have a qualifying condition (arthritis in my hands). I do not use marijuana as a medicine, I use it for fun and relaxation and have no guilt. Very good point tho.

  2. Look, I’m no prude … I understand that sex sells everything from laundry soap to motor oil. It’s just hard to reconcile the countercultural aspects of our cannabis culture with the notion (or pretense, take your pick) that we’re talking about medicine with a straight face. Naughty nurses in dispensary ads, nug porn online and stoner hotties all contribute to mainstream society’s skepticism regarding medical cannabis. Think about it.
