I have lived my entire life in Oregon, and for a very long time the Oregon media was not sympathetic to the marijuana movement. Zoom forward to 2015, and now Oregon’s largest media company is hosting a ‘how to grow pot’ seminar with guest speakers and a moderator (one of my favorites, Oregonian writer Noelle Crombie). The event has some fantastic speakers, and involves something that I’ve never seen before. The cost of the event is $10. I had to do a double take to make sure I was reading that right. I have have been to many events that had grower panels as part of the event, and they cost a hefty sum to attend. At $10, anyone and everyone can afford to go.

Obviously space is going to be limited, so get your tickets while you can. At that price, and considering every residence in Oregon can grow four plants now, I expect this event to be sold out extremely fast. I just hope they put it on YouTube so everyone can see it that isn’t able to attend. The speakers are very reputable and it’s being held at a McMenamins location. This is going to be fantastic. Below is more about the event, via the event’s Eventbrite page:

Cannabis 101…Seed or starter plant? Indoors or outdoors? How much will your plant yield? When do you know it’s time to harvest? Now that it’s legal for anyone 21 and older to grow marijuana at home, our panel of pros will help you get started and troubleshoot problems you may encounter as you get started.

This is a 21 and over event.

Moderated by The Oregonian/OregonLive staff writer, Noelle Crombie
