George Zimmerman Asks, “Where’s The Marijuana?”

Gavel marijuana trayvon martin florida zimmermanAfter all of the courtroom haggling over whether Trayvon Martin’s marijuana toxicology report would be admitted or would not be admitted in the 2nd degree murder trial of George Zimmerman, the defense attorneys that argued for the right to introduce the evidence closed their case without introducing the evidence.

Perhaps Zimmerman’s attorneys felt trying to characterize the dead teenager as some sort of violent menace to society because he smoked marijuana would be a little hard to swallow.  The judge would have to pound the gavel to bring order to a courtroom overcome with giggles from anyone who had ever smoked herb, seen people smoking herb, or ever heard Afroman’s Because I Got High.  Then maybe someone might bring up the Temazepam and Adderall that were in Zimmerman’s system, drugs with side effects like “aggression”, “hostility”, and “impaired judgment”.

Nobody was more shocked by the defense’s failure to portray Trayvon Martin as a dope-smoking thug than George Zimmerman.  As the judge hears the conclusion of Zimmerman’s defense, she asks if Zimmerman had any other witnesses to testify on his behalf.  A confused Zimmerman says he does not and the trial goes to recess, with just one last appearance to determine if Zimmerman himself will take the stand (he decided not to.)

Then, just before the microphones are cut, you hear Zimmerman ask his defense attorneys, “Where’s the marijuana?”  Listen for yourself:

I’m old enough to remember Where’s the Beef? – the Wendy’s burger campaign with elderly Clara Peller (I pulled that up from memory; take that, pot-makes-you-stupid people!) – and if I just thought of it, there is already somebody putting a Zimmerman profile and a “Where’s the marijuana?” quote on a t-shirt that I’ll see at Hempfest in five weeks (I wear an XL – hint hint).

Have we reached a point where trying to use marijuana as a form of character assassination is more likely to backfire?  Could the jury be more likely to empathize with Trayvon Martin, knowing it is likely that one of their kids or their kids’ friends may smoke marijuana?  We shall see.  This time, it seems some defense attorneys think so.

    DaRueStir,,.’All he had to do was tell him who he was staying with’,, do you tell everyone who asks you cheeky, arrogant assed questions in the street when approached then yeah,, you clown

  • DaRueStir

    Exactly how was Mr. Zimmerman supposed to know that a 6’3″ person wearing a hoodie at night was a “child”?
    All that wannabe thug had to do was go home or tell Mr. Zimmerman who he was and who’s house he was staying at.
    He would still be alive, but no that racist punk decided to beat that “cracker”, and he got what he deserved.

    hope he gets hit by a bus :) (GZ)

    Was Trayvon Black? Or one of those other kind?

  • Johnny,

    If you get your news on this trial from the MSM all I can tell you is that they lie.

    Hell, you know they lie about pot. Why do you think they wouldn’t lie about the trial? Race riots gather eyeballs. Dead bodies? Well you know the rule: If it bleeds it leads.

  • Do murderers normally call 911 before committing the crime? Talk for minutes and then kill some one when the arrival of the police was imminent?

    Do racists normally tutor black children? Make a spectacle out of themselves calling out the police for unfairly treating a black man?

    I have yet to see that explained.

    =================

    BTW I have been arguing THC with a LOT of right wingers in this case. My contention is that Trayvon had PTSD from a bad upbringing. I said pot was indicated for PTSD. Well of course I was ridiculed, but I did get some support. Prohibition is dying – even on the right. Thank The MAKER!

    And what can unmedicated PTSD do to you? It is know to make some unreasonably violent. If only Tray had had more weed in his system. LEGALIZE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Well OK. I propose the next time you are getting your head beat into the sidewalk you let it continue until the racially protected class member decides to stop. Assuming you are unable to stop it with your own fighting prowess.

    ===

    And let me add and you know me from around here: The New Jim Crow HAS to stop.

    ===

    The best explanation I have seen on the matter. – Ghetto culture meets mainstream culture. The two guys were operating on a different set of assumptions. Tray should have stopped when Zim cried for help. He shoulda stopped when Good asked him to. He shoulda stopped when Good said he was going to call 911.

    Hell. He shoulda gone home when the cracka was following him. But he wanted to prove he was a man to the chick who was catfishing him. He proved he was a man.

    ===

    Endocannabinoids!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The prosecution made no case. None. Zip. Nada.

    But they had none to begin with. This was a political trial beginning to end.

    Approximately: “Trayon could have been my son” . Really? Your son would have been a thug wannabe suspended from school for punching a bus driver? OK. I can buy that.

    ====

    Free the weed. End Prohibition NOW! Obama.

  • “Have we reached a point where trying to use marijuana as a form of character assassination is more likely to backfire?”

    Yes.

    99% of the time when someone is testing positive for marijuana, theyre not even impaired! You take marijuana and after about 4 or 5 hours, your no longer high! But yet the drug test says your high a month after you toked just cause it detects marijuana.

    I checked that ending multiple times and it looks/sounds fake. Maybe it’s not but the mouth doesn’t match the sound/voice. Just my OP.

    Grow your own meds. See weedsthatplease com for free education. Z had big pharm in his system… but don’t let out the truth as it could hurt YOUR client.

  • Anti-gun? I was just shooting a Baretta 9mm out in Central Oregon, how is that “anti-gun?” I’m not anti-gun at all, I’m anti whackaloons with guns shooting up unarmed civilians, be they teenagers walking in the neighborhood or first graders reading for class.

    I know caricatures are easier for you to debate, especially as you remain anonymous, so enjoy yourself.

  • Pat Cowdin

    When George Zimmerman is found guilty of manslaughter, you can complain that the system doesn’t give poor, innocent White vigilante cop wanna-be’s a fair shake. But cheer up – there are plenty more 17-year-old Black kids out there, and, lord knows, more than enough guns. Are ya feelin’ lucky?

  • Choom Gang

    Thanks for making my point, political anti gun hack. lol

    “let the gun-totin’ cop wannabes loose!”

    Hate the constitution much, Army dude that swore to protect it with his life?

  • Thanks, anonymously named critic! No, I don’t have much time for sitting around watching trials, but I do gather information from a variety of sources.

    Do you have a substantive comment about Zimmerman’s drugs of choice?

    I’ll save you the worry. If Zimmerman is found guilty, I’ll be shocked, because this is Florida we’re talking about and the murdered teenager is black. If Zimmerman is found not guilty, it’s business-as-usual, let the gun-totin’ cop wannabes loose!

  • Choom Gang

    “Then maybe someone might bring up the Temazepam and Adderall that were in Zimmerman’s system, drugs with side effects like “aggression”, “hostility”, and “impaired judgment”.”

    I think Russ did not watch much of the trial, and got most of his information form his democrat propaganda news outlets. Russ is as much of a political hack as a marijuana advocate. But he is entertaining in his own crazy way.

    I wonder if Russ will have anything to say when the verdict comes in. Probably some extreme, leftist nut job, propaganda.
