TWB is bringing on a new recipe contributor. I have heard from a lot of people that a company called Lifted, which is based out of Portland, has some of the best medible products around. TWB reached out to them to see if they would be willing to contribute some recipes for our readers, and Lifted was kind enough to send some over. Below is a recipe for how to make a cannabis creamsicle, which is perfect for any summer day:

Ingredients:
1 3/4 cup – Cannamilk
2 medium – Orange
1 tsp – Vanilla extract

Directions
Peel and section oranges.  Lay flat on a tray and freeze until hardened.

In a blender, add coconut milk and half of the frozen orange sections.
Blend until smooth.  Add the remaining oranges and continue blending.
Add the sweetener of your choice (honey, powdered sugar, maple syrup) and vanilla extract.
Blend.

Pour into a freezer safe container and freeze until solid.
When ready to serve, let it sit out for a few minutes to make it easier to scoop. Enjoy!

You can check out Lifted’s blog at this link here. They will be posting more recipes and also commentary on all things marijuana related. If you frequent a dispensary that doesn’t carry Lifted products, you should urge them to do so. You can tell them to contact Lifted at this link here. You can check out Lifted’s website to find out which locations currently carry Lifted products. Make sure to ‘like’ Lifted on Facebook, and follow them on Twitter. Below is more information about the company, via the Lifted website:

Lifted is a Portland, Oregon based marijuana infused candy company, specializing in unique, high quality candies with designer recipes and appealing branding. Combining all natural ingredients, a unique flavor palate and responsible, tailor made dosages of T.H.C. Lifted is positioned to grow with the community and marketplace at a profitable and sustainable rate.

The coming legalization of marijuana for recreational use marks a huge opportunity, inviting new consumers who have never tried marijuana or edibles. While many competitors search for ways to cram as much T.H.C. as possible into their products, Lifted believes in formulating responsible dosages designed with the recreational consumer in mind. Integrated with fashionable and appealing recipes, our candies are sure to be a success with a rapidly growing fan-base.

The lead product is a chocolate covered coffee bean made with “Local Roasters'” beans out of NW Portland. With the combination of caffeine and T.H.C., the beans are a highly functional way to relax but stay active. Combined with a delicious line of hard candies, these products were launched on February 20, 2015. In two short months distribution grew to ten locations, including large chain dispensaries, with five more on the way. Utilizing social media, we’ have hit the ground running with grass roots advertising by gaining followers on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook at a speed of a “follower or like” every 30 minutes through-out the country and Canada.

At Lifted, our mission is clear: “To grow alongside the community and market, producing the highest quality cannabis products within a sustainable ecosystem of creativity, wellness, and responsibility.”

“Get up. Get Lifted.”
