  1. In 1981, I was arrested aboard a Lockheed PV2 in Marianna, Florida. I was charged and convicted for conspiracy to import and distribute 12,000 pounds of marijuana.
    I spent 5 years in Federal Prison for that ‘indiscretion.’
    My plane was sold at auction and the proceeds awarded to the sheriff’s department in the county where I was arrested.
    Hell, yes, there is a huge incentive for law enforcement to target drug offenders. The confiscation of cash, equipment, property…these monies go to law enforcement. What is the incentive for chasing bank robbers, murderers, child molesters?
