michael malta the king of potIt is with great sadness that I am posting this article. The King of Pot Michael L Malta passed away over the weekend. The following message appears on MikeCann.Net:

The King of Pot’s Daughter Jaclyn Marie posts tonight on facebook, “To all family and friends incase you have or haven’t heard already my dad had passed away tonight (10/6/2013) from a massive heart attack. They worked on him for 2 hours and did everything they could but it wasn’t enough. I don’t know how I’m gonna live without my dad there is no one in this world that can ever replace him. We appreciate everyone’s condolences he was loved by so many people and my dad loved everyone! I apologize if we haven’t properly informed certain people but it’s just to hard to do right now and we need some time to even comprehend what has happened. I love you so much dad I can’t believe you left me idk what I’m gonna do without you”

RIP BROTHER, MICHAEL MALTA, THE KING OF POT, you will be missed.

Indeed, Michael will be missed by a lot of people. The cannabis reform community lost one of their greatest activists for sure. Below is a video title ‘The Rise Of The King Of Pot’, may he rest in peace:

  1. I am so sorry to learn of this. We had just talked about him coming in to my office to discuss the new MMJ regs. My sincerest condolences to his family and friends.

  2. He is truly one of those guys man just a great person gone too early!so excited about life at any momement and every time I talked to him it was nothing but happy thoughts and good vibes. His name will Live on and his words will still play in the ears of all of us… We will make him proud and end this prohibition for him and everyone who has poured their soul into our common goal. Mike you will never be forgotten!

  3. We have lost a truly amazing and wonderful being. He did so many amazing things for the movement, as well as being an amazing, caring, and trusted friend that you could always turn to. We here in Boston love him very much and are shocked by his passing. His spirit will live on forever. We love you, KOP.

  4. Holy crap – I just finally got to meet Mike in Boston this year. My video of his excellent speech with Mike Cann in Boston illustrates why he will be missed… rather than continue on his rant, he brings up Jodie Emery to the stage and gives her the mic. Totally selfless. R.I.P. K.O.P. http://youtu.be/oqh12FeNTGc

  5. OMG I am in shock! Mike was one of the good guys! You are so loved my friend. I’m so glad that we at least got to finally meet you at the Boston Freedom Rally. You were so kind to come up on stage with us, Mike Cann and our friends from Moms for Marijuana. Still shaking my head in disbelief. :( So sad! You are in heaven with angels.
