2015 is almost over, but there is still time to make an end of the year tax-deductible donation to Students for Sensible Drug Policy. Below is more information via an e-mail I received from one of my heroes, Betty Aldworth:
As the year draws to a close, we know you’re receiving a lot of messages from the organizations you support. You discovered Students for Sensible Drug Policy because you’re ready for a new approach to drug policy, and you know that student activism is vital to ensuring a safer and more just future. We want to take a moment to remind you of the ways that SSDP is unique, and why we’re as deserving of your investment as ever.
SSDP is the only national drug policy reform organization:
- overseen by a student-run Board of Directors.
- with women in its four highest leadership positions.
- that mobilizes students to help pass landmark marijuana reform initiatives.
- bringing the student voice to the international conversation about drugs.
- training students who will become the future leaders of drug policy reform.
We’re also uniquely efficient: we do all of this with a staff of 8 and on a budget of just over half a million dollars.
A long-time friend of SSDP values these qualities and would like to make a generous year-end gift of $25,000, but she doesn’t want to do it alone! So she has challenged you to join her by making a contribution before midnight and, when you do, it will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $25,000. Will you make a gift now to ensure our students can continue to uniquely influence the drug policy reform movement?
Today is the last day in 2015 to make your tax-deductible investment in SSDP and the future of drug policy reform.
Wishing you happy holidays and a sensible new year,
Students for Sensible Drug Policy
