It’s time to hit the books–so check out our reefer reading list

Much has been written about so-called “drug literature” over the years. From William S. Burroughs’ Junkie (subtle title, eh?) to Aldous Huxley’s The Doors of Perception, much ink has been spilled on writing based on intoxicating substances (even boozehounds have their patron saint of writing–he’s called Charles Bukowski). Heck, one researcher has even speculated that William Shakespeare, that giant of English literature, spent some time puffing on the pipe(!) Don’t get us wrong, we here at CULTURE do feel there’s merit to all these aforementioned titles . . . but we’ve got our favorites, tomes we feel are most relevant to our lifestyle. Thus, without further adieu, we present to you our TOP FIVE BOOKS ABOUT BUDS:

By David Jenison
